This year The Big Challenge and InterACT English are teaming up to offer you free access to our professional development course for teachers.
As a Big Challenge participant you can claim an unlimited number of free licenses for yourself and your colleagues.
Our online English courses are structured like a masterclass with pre-recorded tutorials, reading, video resources, review sections and practical creative tasks. All in English and taught by our Native Speakers.
The Filmmaking Course will give you the skills you need to run a 3 x 45 minute creative filmmaking workshops with your students.

In this course you'll work with Brea, a professional musician and performer from Australia. She is going to teach you how to write a short story in English. From brainstorming ideas, to developing great characters and editing your writing you’ll learn a lot and improve your English at the same time. By the end of this course you'll be writing like the pros.
You will have access to all of the online lessons and videos. The courses are designed in a way that allows students to progress through the content at their own pace following the structure of the course we have designed. You will also have access to technical support. Please allow 2-3 days for us to answer any technical questions or resolve any problems.
The courses can be completed from home or in a media classroom. Please follow your schools and governments most current regulations and laws relating to COVID-19 and social distancing. Be safe and don’t take any risks. If you want students can definitely collaborate digitally even if they’re not able to be physically together. Get creative but more importantly be safe!
If you are taking the course on your own there are no deadlines. BUT there are deadlines for students to enter your films and stories in the festivals check the website for more details about festival deadlines. There will be multiple festivals so if you missed the first one don’t worry another is coming.
